Best Practices in the Public Sector Award


 

The purpose of this Award is to promote the sharing and knowledge among the entities that share similar situations, through the dissemination of projects that aim to improve the role of the State. The award thus aims to publicly recognize all who take upon themselves the role of “Civil Servants“, tenaciously working for the citizens.

IPCG – Damião de Góis Award – 2014


 

 The Portuguese Institute of Corporate Governance (IPCG), the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Lisbon and the Portuguese-Dutch Chamber of Commerce, with the support of Central de Cervejas e Bebidas and Unilever Jerónimo Martins, established in partnership the Damião Góis Award designed to distinguish projects in the field of social entrepreneurship.

With this initiative the promoters hope to support relevant projects and initiatives in the field of good social responsibility practices considered as an investment in human capital welfare and other stakeholders involved in the business activity.

Damião de Gois Award – 2014:

- A Mundo a Sorrir – The association of the Portuguese solidary Dentists is responsible for the initiative that promotes oral health among the most disadvantaged persons in the Porto region;
- AFID Green – National Association of Families for the Integration of the Disabled;
- Estado Puro – Portuguese Red Cross, in this contexto, aims to support prisoners contributing to the protection of life, healthcare, human dignity and their integration.

PET – Excellence at Work Award – 2014


 

 The Excellence at Work Award is an organizational environment and human capital development study developed by Heidrick & Struggles in partnership with Económico and INDEG – IUL, with the aim of analyzing the shape of human resources in Portugal and also to reward the entities that invest and devote themselves the most to this field.

The Excellence at Work Award intends to alert the Portuguese business world to the importance of the issues related to the organizational environment and the strategic management of human assets.

APG Human Resources Awards 2014


 

Individual – Honorary – Organization

The APG HR Awards are an annual award given to professionals and organizations of which there is a merit acknowledgement around their management and people development capabilities in Portugal.

2014 Individual

The “APG’s Individual Award” aims at rewarding the personality who, working as a professional in Portugal, has distinguished himself by the excellence of his performance within people’s management and development area.

In the 2014 edition the jury decided not to award the prize in this category due to an insufficient number of applications.

2014 Organization

The “APG’s Organization Award” will be given to the organization located at Portugal which, during the year, has had the most relevant and innovative performance or the best practices and/or business projects within people’s management and development area.

In the 2014 edition the jury decided to award Groundforce Portugal with the “APG’s Organization Award”.
