The BCBS – Basel Committee on Banking Supervision has recently published its guidelines on Corporate Governance Principles for Banks – Revised 2015, with a set of 13 principles whose implementation must be adapted to the scale, complexity, structure, economic relevance, risk profile and business model of each individual bank, and if applicable, the group to which it belongs.

It is noteworthy to mention that the Basel Committtee, which integrates the BIS – Bank for International Settlements, holds a mandate, the strengthening of regulation, supervision and good practices of banks with the purpose of promoting financial stability.
