Abstract
In the last couple of years, particularly since 2003, we have witnessed innumerous debates, workshops, public and private seminars that have been trying and failing to address this issue– in my opinion; without providing proper answers/solutions.
However, much like everything else in our lives, in order for us to understand our surroundings, we are required to analyze the historical evolution of the Portuguese Labour Law, starting with corporatism until the present time.
